Thermax Certified To European Pressure Equipment Directive

SOUTH DARTMOUTH, MA – November 22, 2002

Thermax Inc., a leading worldwide supplier of cryogenic vaporizers, process equipment and thermal systems has been certified to the new European Pressure Equipment Directive #97/23/EC.

In order to attain certification, Thermax was audited by TÜV Suddeutschland, a Pressure Equipment Directive Notified Body. Thermax’s technical files for the approved product lines, quality control program and four manufacturing facilities have been certified to comply with the requirements of the Pressure Equipment Directive. Certificates of shop approval are valid for two Thermax Inc. facilities in the U.S.A., one in the U.K. and one in the Czech Republic enabling us to apply CE marking to full product lines.

Thermax’s President, Bob Bernert, Jr. commented “All facilities, as well as our welders, were approved on the first go around clearly showing Thermax’s ongoing commitment to quality.
